Baseball 2011

Luke Knox just dropped an email that was about 26 MB. I thought, wow, this is a huge file, Luke. Then when I saw it, and I said wow again. This is some really cool stuff. And now, the Boston Globe 2011 baseball section ... 20 pages of goodness focusing on injury problems the Red Sox had last season. I don't have time to post it all right now. Here's a taste, I'll post more later.

NCAA Tournament Week 1

Luke Knox from the Boston Globe sends in the front page from Selection Sunday.
Also, a comprehensive NCAA page from John Hancock of the Dallas Morning News. Also, Wayne Kamidoi of the New York Times sent some solid stuff here. He said it was a team effort between himself, Sam Manchester and Lee Yarosh. Michael Murdock (rocket) illustration and Bob Eckstein also pitched in. The region page is a double truck.

But listen to the Editor in Chief tell the WQAD reporter that is in their byline template. I wouldn't have broadcasted that.

Oregon-inspired Basketball courts

If you haven't seen the Oregon basketball court yet, it's ... well, I'll say different.
Freelance designer took the idea and applied it to other courts across the nation. Would love to play on the KFC Yum! Center. Check out the rest here.

A Post too far?

The New York Post cover today had a picture of the 17-year old high school girl that reportedly had a relationship with Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. This has little to do with design and more to do with the choice of putting a minor's picture on the cover. Here's the page:
